Manage Networks
Chartboost Mediation offers two ways to obtain ads from partner networks: bidding and waterfall. Please note that some networks may not support both. Review the following details to decide what the best method is for you.
Bidding π
A programmatic advertising technique that allows publishers to offer their ad inventory to multiple ad exchanges simultaneously. The inventory is available at unrestricted, unfixed price points to maximize the value of each impression. This method increases competition and revenue. All bid request/response goes through OpenRTB server.
Waterfall π
A non-programmatic advertising technique that requires a pre-defined fixed-CPM price with ad networks. The exchange will send requests to each line item from highest to lowest paying price until an ad offer meets the fixed-CPM price.
We recommend optimizing your waterfall based on recommendations from your networks and the Chartboost team in order to optimize your average revenue per daily active user. Working with multiple partner networks will also help maximize fill. Personalize your waterfall with keywords to customize specific targeting.
