# Unity Ads (Levelplay)

## Connecting Unity Ads to Chartboost Mediation

### Create a Unity Ads account
1. Create an account with [Unity Mediation](https://unity.com/products/mediation){:target="_blank"}.
2. Once your account is verified, log in to [Unity dashboard](https://dashboard.unity3d.com/){:target="_blank"}.

### Create a project and ad units in Unity Ads
1. Navigate to **Projects**.
2. Click **Create project**.
3. Enter a **Project name** and complete the COPPA statement.
4. Click **Create Project**.

### Add Ad Units and Placements
1. Navigate to **Monetization** > **Ad Units**.
2. Click **Add Ad Unit**.
3. Enter an **Ad Unit Name**.
4. Select a **Platform**.
5. Select an **Ad Format**.
6. Click **Create**.
7. Enter a **Placement Name**.
8. Set the **Geo Targeting** and **Target Price** unless you choose to use **auto-eCPM**.
9. Add any additional placements for this Ad Unit.
10. Click **Add Placement**.
11. You will need the **placement name** and the generated placement **ID** located under the placement name.

### Retrieve your Unity credentials
There are 3 pieces of data from your Unity account required to connect with Chartboost Mediation:

- To find the **Game ID**, go to **Monetization** > **Ad Units**. Note the iOS and Android game ID.
- To find the **Monetization API Key**, go to **Monetization** > **Setup** > **API Management**. You will need the **Monetization Stats API Access key**.
- To find the **Organization Core ID**, click on your profile on the top right and navigate to **Manage Organization**. The **Organization ID** will be the Organization Core ID.

### Connect Unity to Chartboost Mediation
1. Log in to your [Chartboost platform](https://platform.chartboost.com/){:target="_blank"}.
2. Navigate to **Mediation** > **Networks**.
3. Under Mediation Networks, select **Unity** from the **Select network** dropdown.
4. Enter the **Game ID**, **Monetization API Key**, and **Organization Core ID**.
5. Click the *+* button next to the **Unity** button.

## Set up Ad Placements

### Add the Unity placement to Chartboost Mediation
1. Log into [Charboost platform](https://platform.chartboost.com/){:target="_blank"} and navigate to **Mediation** > **Placements**.
2. Select the app from the top-right dropdown.
3. Below your metrics graph, click **New Placement**.
4. Select an **Ad Format**.
5. Set an **Ad Placement Name**.
6. Under **Waterfall** > **Ad Groups**, click **Add**.
7. Select from existing or **Create a new Ad Group**.
8. Set a **Name** and **Country List**.
9. Click **Add New Line Item**.
10. Select **Unity** as the **Network**.
11. Add the **Placement Name** to the **Name** field.
12. Add the **Partner Placement ID** to the **Partner Placement Name**.
13. Set a **CPM**.
14. Make sure **Add to Ad Group** is selected.
15. Click **Create New**.
16. A new line item will be added. Make sure the line item’s **Add to Ad Group** checkbox is selected and click **+Add Selected Items** on the bottom right.
